Dining Out Gluten Free: Miguel’s Cocina December 19, 2010

Miguel’s Cocina (a Brigantine Family restaurant)
Old Town San Diego

Absolutely fantastic! Good service, nice vibe, and a gluten free and vegan menu list. It’s not a fancy one but it will steer you clear of items with hidden gluten such as the ranchero sauce. And yes, the Mexican rice, which is an unusual one. I will be back when it warms up to enjoy a mocktail on the large, cozy patio set right in the heart of Old Town.

Here’s a pic of what I ate to make you jealous. And of the gluten free and vegan menu options. Oh and I forgot to mention, if you are lactose intolerant stay away from the vegetarian tamale it’s stuffed with cheese.
